Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Draft, pending US legal review. This page is an accurate, plain-English summary of Tessan's current practices. It has not yet been reviewed by US legal counsel and may change.

This Privacy Policy explains how Tessan LLC ("Tessan," "we," "us"), a Delaware company, handles information on tessanhealth.com. This is a marketing and informational website. It does not host a patient portal, a booking system, or any place to enter health information.

Information we collect

  • If you email us. The site links to our email address. If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name and email, and we use it only to reply.
  • If you use the pharmacy form. On the For Pharmaciespage, pharmacy owners can send us their business contact details (pharmacy name, contact name, work email, state, and phone) so our team can follow up. That form is handled by Static Forms, a third-party form processor that passes the message to us. It collects business contact information, not health information.
  • No health information. We don't ask for, and don't collect, any symptoms, diagnoses, or medical history anywhere on this site.
  • No accounts. There's no login or patient portal on tessanhealth.com.
  • No newsletter. The site doesn't sign you up for a mailing or marketing list.

Cookies and tracking

When you first visit, a consent banner asks whether you accept cookies for analytics. Nothing that measures or tracks you loads before you choose. The site uses Google's Consent Mode, which denies every measurement and advertising category by default until you consent.

If you accept the analytics category, we load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (a session-analytics tool), managed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used. You can change your choice at any time from Your Privacy Choices. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid opt-out. We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels, and we block analytics and tracking on articles about a specific health condition. The specific cookies are listed below.

Microsoft Clarity records a replay of on-page interactions, such as mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, so we can see how pages are used. It does not run before you consent, and text you type into forms is masked, so we don't capture what you enter.

Microsoft Clarity is provided by Microsoft, a separate company that acts as its own controller. When it runs, some of the cookies it sets are Microsoft cookies (listed below), and Microsoft may use the information they collect for its own purposes, including across its own products and other websites. To learn how Microsoft handles that information, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Cookies we use

Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. The table below lists the cookies this site can set, grouped by category. The exact cookies may vary slightly as our tools update; this list reflects our latest review (see the date above).

Strictly necessary

These keep the consent banner working. They cannot be switched off.

CookieProviderPurposeExpires
TERMLY_API_CACHETermlyStores your consent choices so the banner loads quickly.1 year
csrf_tokenTermlySecurity token used by our consent management platform.1 month

Analytics and performance

These help us see how the site is used. They load only after you accept the analytics category.

CookieProviderPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors to measure visits and sessions.13 months
_ga_<id>Google AnalyticsKeeps analytics session state for the property.13 months
_clckMicrosoft ClarityPersists the Clarity user ID for this site.1 year

CLIDMicrosoft ClarityMarks the first time Clarity saw this visitor.1 year
SMMicrosoft ClaritySession used to collect anonymous usage data.Session

Advertising (set by Microsoft Clarity)

Microsoft Clarity is a Microsoft product, so it sets some Microsoft cookies that our consent platform files under advertising. We do not run advertising or remarketing campaigns on this site. These load with the analytics category, and none of them load on articles about a specific health condition.

CookieProviderPurposeExpires
MUIDMicrosoftMicrosoft user identifier, also used by Bing.1 year
MRMicrosoftResets or refreshes the MUID.7 days
SRM_BMicrosoft / BingUsed by Microsoft Advertising with Bing services.1 year
ANONCHKMicrosoft / BingShort-lived session identifier used by Bing.10 minutes

How to control cookies

You can accept or decline the analytics category from the consent banner, and change your mind anytime from Your Privacy Choices. Declining does not break the site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and turn on the Global Privacy Control, which we honor automatically. We don't separately respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, which aren't standardized, but the Global Privacy Control covers the same intent.

Map tiles on Find a Pharmacy

The interactive map on Find a Pharmacy loads map imagery directly from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, the same way any embedded map loads its imagery. Like loading any image from a third-party server, that request reaches OpenStreetMap directly and includes standard technical information such as your IP address. OpenStreetMap is a functional mapping sub-processor here, not an advertising or analytics tracker, and it only loads on that one page. The map is a progressive enhancement. If JavaScript isn't available, the same pharmacy locations are listed as plain text on the same page.

Third-party services

Some features rely on other companies, each under its own privacy policy and terms: booking a visit or a call happens on a separate platform (Zocdoc, Healthie, or Calendly); the pharmacy contact form is processed by Static Forms; and the map on Find a Pharmacy loads tiles from OpenStreetMap. Please read those providers' policies before entering information with them.

How long we keep information

We keep email you send us, and pharmacy inquiries submitted through the form, only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, then we delete them. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' and Microsoft Clarity's retention windows, which we set to the shortest practical period.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including HTTPS across the site and limiting who can access inquiries. Form and email data is transmitted to vetted third-party processors under their own security terms. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Do we sell or share personal information?

We don't sell your personal information for money, and we don't run advertising or remarketing on this site. The only tools that could collect anything about you are our two analytics tools, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, and they load only after you accept the analytics category.

One nuance is worth being clear about. Microsoft Clarity is a Microsoft product, and it sets some Microsoft cookies (listed above) that Microsoft may use for its own purposes across its properties. Because Microsoft acts as its own company here, some US state privacy laws could treat letting Clarity run as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even though no money changes hands and we run no ads. We make it easy to say no: nothing loads before you consent, you can decline or withdraw analytics anytime from the consent banner or Your Privacy Choices, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out. See Your Privacy Choices for more on your state privacy rights.

Washington consumer health data

Washington's My Health My Data Act gives Washington residents specific rights over consumer health data. This is a marketing site that doesn't collect health information, and we block all tracking on articles about a specific health condition. For the details, and how to exercise those rights, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience and isn't aimed at children. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Since we don't collect personal information through the site in general, this doesn't change in practice. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it.

Where your information is handled

Tessan is part of a group headquartered in France. If you email us or submit the pharmacy form, our team, which includes colleagues in France, may access your message to respond. This means your information may be accessed from outside the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site or our practices change. Check the date above.
