Accessibility
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Draft, pending US legal review. This page is an accurate, plain-English summary of Tessan's current practices. It has not yet been reviewed by US legal counsel and may change.
Tessan wants tessanhealth.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, switch devices, or voice control.
Our standard
We aim to conform this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a best practice.
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML and one clear heading per page, so assistive technology can navigate the content.
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Visible keyboard focus outlines on every interactive element.
- Touch targets sized at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Support for reduced-motion settings, so any animation respects your system preference.
- A site that works with JavaScript turned off. The interactive map on Find a Pharmacy has a plain-text fallback list.
- Color and type choices from our design system, built for AA contrast.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing work, and we are actively working to conform this site to WCAG 2.1 AA. We review accessibility as we build and update the site. If you find a barrier, please tell us (see below) and we will help and work to fix it.
Reporting an issue
If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, email us at partnerships@tessan.io describing the page and the issue. We aim to reply within five business days, and we can provide the information you need in an accessible format on request.
