A Tessan station is equipped with connected medical devices (a digital stethoscope, otoscope, dermatoscope, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, thermometer, and connected scale), used by the patient under the doctor’s real-time guidance. How Tessan AI prepares your visit
Before you speak with a doctor, Tessan AI asks guided questions and organizes your answers into a structured summary. Tessan AI does not diagnose. It only organizes what the patient reports. Interpreting symptoms and making clinical judgments is the licensed doctor’s role alone.
How your data moves and is protected
During the consultation, the video and audio feed connects you live to the doctor, and device readings are transmitted to that same doctor’s screen as they’re captured. Handling of protected health information in a US telehealth context is generally governed by the HIPAA Security Rule (HHS.gov, Summary of the HIPAA Security Rule). The exact technical implementation for Tessan’s US stations is being finalized with the compliance team.
Nothing captured during the visit is used to generate a diagnosis automatically. The data is a live feed to the doctor, not an input to an automated decision.

A visit, step by step: an illustrative scenario
Illustrative scenario, not a real patient testimonial. A patient walks into a Tessan station with a sore throat and mild fever. During guided intake, Tessan AI asks a few structured questions and prepares a short summary. It doesn’t suggest what the problem might be. The patient is connected by video to a licensed doctor, who reviews that summary and asks the patient to use the thermometer, then the connected otoscope. Each reading and image appears on the doctor’s screen within moments, transmitted over a secure connection. The doctor, not the technology, interprets what they see and hear.
